Era of Anarchy
The period between 2290 and 2470. Commonly (and incorrectly) referred to as the "Second Dark Age", it began when the old United States and other leading world governments collapsed due to excessive bureaucracy. Various rumors abound that the Psygens were formed during this time period and brought order to end the Era of Anarchy, but no accurate records from the period exist.
